Hook Knott cabin FAQs

What are the check-in and check-out times?

You can check in to Hook Knott cabin from 3pm on your day of arrival. Check-out is at 11am. Early check in and late check out (1pm) can be added at the time of booking for £22.50 each.

I’m riding with Cumbrian Heavy Horses – can I check-in earlier / out later?

We are able to offer late check out (up to 1pm) when we have the availability. This can be added to your booking for £22.50 each side. If you would like to check out at 11am but secure luggage please speak to a member of the campsite team upon arrival.

Is the garden secure for dogs?

No – the cabin on our terrace come with their own private outdoor space, but these aren’t enclosed. Please ensure your dog is secured and supervised at all times while on site, and within your garden space. ​

How many dogs can I bring?

Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at Hook Knott cabin per stay. Pets can be added to your booking as an additional. Please take a few minutes to review our Dog Policy to ensure the farm, fells and stables are all kept safe and happy.

Is there Wi-Fi on-site or in the cabins?

We don’t offer WiFi anywhere at the campsite or farm – we like to think this beautiful place allows everyone to take some offline time. However there is good 4G cover in this area.

Do you provide bedding and towels?

We offer bedding and towels as an optional extra. Sets can be added to your booking for £25 each per stay. Each bedding set includes 4 pillows, a duvet (with covers), sheets and towels for 2. Alternatively you can bring your own.

How many people can stay in Hook Knott cabin?

Hook Knott cabin sleeps up to 4 people. The cabin has one fixed double bed and a double pull-out sofa bed.

Do I need to book the Hot Tub in advance?

Yes – you can add the Hot Tub to you booking for each night you’d like to have it available. To conserve energy and allow for our cleaning procedure all hot tubs are kept off between visitors. They each take 6-8 hours to reach full relaxation tempreture making pre-booking essential.

No sure if you’ll use it? Don’t worry, you can add the hot tub when you arrive and pay during your stay. We’ll turn it on so just let us know in the morning so it’s warming up – as your wine cools!

Do you provide equipment for cooking?

Yes – we’ve included all the essentials such as utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware chopping boards, pots and pans. Hook Knott cabin offers a microwave, toaster and two ring electric hob for cooking.

Do you supply food or offer in-house meals?

All our cabins are offered on a self catering basis – you’ll find tea, coffee and sugar to help you settle in. We have an onsite café that offers a wide range of delicious breakfast and lunch options. No food is supplied as part of your stay.

Is there parking at Hook Knott cabin?

No – these cabins don’t have enclosed or private parking. However we do have space for one car per cabin at the end of the terrace, as well as plenty of parking on the main car park.

Is there a minimum stay requirement for Hook Knott cabin?

Yes – we require a minimum of 2 nights. There is a minimum booking requirement of 3 nights on weekends and bank holidays.
